Adrian Pool not only has a page but contributes to the Angel of the Month page as well. In this very honest interview he tells his story and reveals his path to us. We discuss angels, the differences between spirits, tarot and growing up with this gift.

How did you discover your gifts?
This started at a very, very young age, not the discovering of the gift, but the unusual ability which was not unusual to me because at the age of three and for many years on I felt comfortable with what I was experiencing and for a long time assumed that every other person could see, and hear the same as I do.  I think that I started predicting almost as soon as I started to speak.  This of course was only revealed to me years later. 

Tell me about your first encounter with a spirit
My first encounter with a spirit being, I think was around the age of three.  I remember because I was home during the day and not at school or pre-school as I would have been had it been a bit later.  I walked down the passage which was the walk-way between the kitchen and my parent’s bedroom on my mother’s instruction.  As I passed the sitting room I looked in and saw a strange man sitting on the sofa and smiling at me, I immediately returned to the kitchen to inform my mom of the guest in the other room.  She looked back at me and said “there’s no-one here but the two of us.”  I insisted that there was a man sitting on the sofa, to which my mother agreed to look.  I pointed him out to her saying “there’s the man or something to that effect.”  She replied, “there’s no-one.”  I was so confused or whatever emotion a child experiences at that age, seeing someone so crystal clear that I could describe him to the finest detail, and being told that there’s no-one there.  This was an ongoing process, as “the man” visited on a daily basis.  This caused much disturbance, I think not only to myself but the entire family. 

…The difference between spirits…
Years later this was resolved.  There was also the encounter with the dark spirit a few years later which opened another avenue because of the distinct differences that the two opposing forces leaves with one emotionally.

What was it like growing up with these gifts?
All through my growing up years I was told that I have made “predictions” but shortly after I would be told something to the effect “but you said.”  These three words I must have heard too many times to remember over these years.  This continued into school where I would make simple predictions to my friends and fellow students such as, “you will soon meet a new boyfriend or girlfriend, you will pass of fail, moving home and much more.  Here also, after a space of time to hear those words, “but you said.”  During my later study years I was also referred to as “spooky.”
Eventually I grew to believe in myself and my abilities which was by the end of high school referred to as a gift. 
 
Have there been many lessons on your spiritual path?
Yes, there were indeed many lessons learned and I feel that I am still learning.  But I do feel that the best lesson that I have learned so far was clearly and without a doubt being able to distinguish the distinct difference between good and evil.

Do you have a favourite tarot deck? Why is it your favourite? (design, drawings, colours, energy etc)
I have never ever purchased a deck of tarot cards for myself.  I received my first set of cards as a birthday present, and for me the cards has a life span of three to four years and then the paper quality becomes poor.  Over the years I have received many decks as gifts and always in divine timing when they need to be replaced.
I do not have a specific favorite deck.  I like quite a few of them and have over the years used decks such as: Tarot de Marseilles, Rider Waite, Tarocco, Aleister Crowley and more.  At present I am using the Rider Waite, which I think is one of the most popular decks worldwide.  But I do believe that more important than the deck is the interpreter.
 
Do you do angel readings as well?
Yes, I do angel readings, but these are not channeled.  I use the Hay House Angel Oracle Cards at the end of my consultations and find them excellent additions and good endings to channeled readings.

The ANGEL OF THE MONTH page - how does that come about? Do you channel specific angels?
My Angel of the Month article has proved very popular and over the first year of publication I have received a large amount of compliments, good comments and also a large amount of positive feedback on the divine timing of each article.
These articles are not entirely channeled but a combination of channeling and also input from my spiritual colleagues, associates and friends.
