WHAT IS AN AURA?

The words "aura" and "chakra" get used quite a bit these days, which is great - if you know what they mean! I hope that our series of articles will clear this for you and make you more aware of the importance of a well balance chakra & aura.
What exactly is an aura?
Everyone of us has an aura. We all have has already seen or experienced the auric fields of others. The problem is that most people ignore the experience or chalk it up to something that it is not. It is your psychic energy body- it's the energy produced by your life force, and it emanates all around you. A lot about your mental, emotional and physical state is reflected in your aura. This can be perceived in the predominant color of your aura.... but please keep in mind, the aura is constantly changing in color, shape and size.
Mystics from all parts of the world speak of seeing lights around people's heads, but you do not have to be a mystic to see the aura. Anyone can learn to see and experience the aura more effectively. There is nothing magical about the process. It simply involves a little understanding, time, practice and perseverance. It is worth noting that a common depiction of many masters included the halo, a portion of the aura that is most easily seen by the average individual.
The Auric Field
The auric field exists in different layers sometimes referred to as harmonics because of the color fields they emit. Each layer of the auric field is a body just as real and alive as the physical body. Each layer is a mini world with its own sense of purpose. The magic of the auric field is in how these mini worlds intertwine and dance with one another. These layers interconnect with one another determining our experience with our physical reality.
The physical body is surrounded by an ovoid emanation made up of seven layers of the auric field. The seven bands of the auric field can be divided into two planes; the physical and the spiritual. The three physical planes of the auric fields are composed of the Etheric Body, Emotional Body and the Mental Body. The Astral Body is the bridge between the physical level and the spiritual level of the auric fields. The three spiritual levels of the auric field are the Etheric Spiritual Body, Celestial Body and the Ketheric Body.
