What does Spring mean?
Spring is a time of rebirth, renewal and reawakening. The snows on the mountains melt away, flowers bloom and the world seems new again.
Spring Cleaning is a common activity, for cleaning the house and our possessions; a time to take stock of our homes and lives. Cleaning is work, but that is not what makes us dread spring cleaning. It is the idea of everything we own that makes spring cleaning difficult.
As you are going through your possessions and cleaning them, you will also find, if you are looking for it, the direction of your life.
Remember, whatever you want for your life is reflected, one way or another, in the things you own. Note your emotional reaction to your possession as they point you towards the things you want the most in life.
Spring is a time to get rid of the old to make room for the new…..
As human beings, we have lessons to learn which point us in the right direction. When we don’t learn the lessons, our lives get stuck and we repeat the same patterns again and again. Old patterns that we hold onto life distort our growth and integrity. Each of us has the opportunity, and a responsibility, to live fully according to our authentic life plan.
The energy of spring provides the opportunity to tune into our internal compass, redesign and live the inspired life we were meant too. The process begins just like a tree that casts off and recycles last year’s leaves (old aspects of ourselves that block or no longer serve us) and allows new leaves to sprout (new dimensions of our authentic self). When a tree produces new leaves each spring, they are never identical to those of the last year. We are not the same person we were last year, or even yesterday.
To initiate the rebirthing process ask yourself these questions.
“What do I want to be this year?”
“What would I like to do?”
“What do I want to do?”
“How can I make it all happen?”
If you find that old thought patterns or emotions telling you that you cannot change your life, then focus on something that brings you joy and inspiration.
In order to break the old habit or behaviour, replace it with another that generates a more authentic and accurate thought.
Every time you find yourself slipping into the old pattern, focus on joy and authentic truth.
Take advantage of the spring time energy and rewrite your scripts and redesign your life, it is your responsibility to become part of the transformation.
When you connect with nature and other people who are in tune with these principles, you not only become blessed with more fulfilling life, but you help create a better work.
