Mechanics of Mental Projection
To most people it is a new concept that one’s thoughts can penetrate the mental body of another person but so thoroughly does this penetration work that it can totally influence the moods, decisions and very mode of life of those around us.
This is known as mental projection, because thoughts being the content of the mind body are actually solid, material things and we throw them indiscriminately like projectiles, using the force of our desires to do so. Usually we do this for our own selfish ends to achieve desired results, though we often deceive ourselves that it is for the other person’s well being. We use the mind for the things we want and, paradoxically, much of our suffering comes from getting the things we want.
Everyone is guilty of mind projection which is a two-way offense, for as our own minds are invaded by others so are we equally guilty of thrusting our mind at our neighbors even on the most trivial pretexts.
The actual mechanics of what takes place in an individual as a result of mental projection is described below and shows the gravity and sinfulness of the habit. Understanding of this is most important.
Our three bodies are not stable. In other words when our thinking arouses our emotions of whatever sort, the violence of the vibrations set up by the psyche or personality body effects a shift in position and instead of being securely embedded in the gross body, the psyche moves out of the physical to the right, taking the finer mental body with it, though shocks, accidents and traumas can have the same effect. The left side of the body is therefore unprotected and exposed to infiltration by spurious entities in the astral. Possession of this sort is our own responsibility.
Mental projection can have a similar effect in so far that the inner bodies leave the physical but in a different manner, and the sufferer is often an innocent victim.
We must understand that the mind, complete with thought content is frequently used by the living (by ourselves) as a projectile aimed at another person. The force we use to project the mind is most often our desire, though the mind can be thrown at someone in anger, love, hate or any strong emotion. The results are always the same.
Once we have thrown our mind and its content of emotional thoughts at our victim, he is struck at the front of the head, on the forehead, and the upper part of his psyche and mental body are thrust back and down from his physical frame. This is the method used by the hypnotist who forces his mind willfully into the head of his dupe and instead of a random entity from the astral occupying the vacancy, the mind body of the hypnotist remains there until he chooses to withdraw it.
The story does not end here however. People who are ‘easy’ to hypnotise are invariably those whose psyche or personality body has a very loose hold on the physical. The means by which the psyche is attached to the physical are five points of energy along the spine and two in the head, thus, in the case of projection from the living minds around us, the inner body will be constantly pushed out of its rightful position, and the two centers of energy in the head and one at the top of the neck will be under pressure and strain.
The grave consequences of our demanding minds upon other people ( and upon ourselves from outside), on the three top chakras is as follows:-
From the foregoing it is not difficult to deduce the adverse results in the body of anyone who is the victim of constant projection. When the projecting mind first enters the victim it does so through the front of the head, that is, at the point of the brow chakra or center, causing it to falter in its work of supplying life giving force to the Pituitary, which then fails to supply the organs of the body dependent upon it for energy and general depletion through the whole body ensues, often accompanied by pains in the head caused by the Pituitary in its struggle to function. One common result is that the sinuses become congested, hay fever, nasal drip and other allied malfunctions in this area, follow.
The neck center also suffers and if we bear in mind that impingements on the gross body from the astral attach themselves mainly to the glands at the back of the head (medulla oblongata) without a strong energy field to counteract this, headaches and hardening of the neck at the back, especially in men, occurs.
We may ask why should the neck center be affected by a projecting mind pressing on the front of the head? The answer is that pressure upon the head portion of the psyche I such that as explained in the practice of hypnotism, this portion of the psyche is forced back and down, crushing the back of the neck, while the rest of the psyche or personality body remains roughly in position. If however the thrust of the projector’s mind is very strong, the whole of the victim’s psychic body may be knocked backwards.
This is the grossest misuse of precious mental energy apart from the appalling damage we can do to someone’s body for our own selfish ends. This precious mental energy is a combination of thought and mind substance which when correctly used should lie dormant around us wrapped tightly about the physical like a cloak, dense and impenetrable. Like this, it is our god given protection from mind invaders, but if we dissipate this protection by thrusting it from us we can never really know ourselves. Properly used as was intended in the beginning, it enables us to develop our personalities, think our own thoughts, make our own decisions, feel our own emotions and generally be responsible for our own lives.
This does not mean that the projectionist gets off scott free. His own centers are abused as he throws his psyche and mind body outwards at his victim causing malfunction in his own head centers and throughout his body. It can also be mentioned here that the projecting mind carries within it entities from the astral drawn prior to the act of mental violence and these also are thrown at the victim where they invariably remain and, when the projector’s own mind floats back to him it could bring with it some very undesirable elements from the victim’s mind.
Depending upon the force of the thrust depends how long it will be before things in both parties return to normal, if ever.

The grave consequences of our demanding minds upon other people ( and upon ourselves from outside), on the three top chakras is as follows:-
- At the very top of the head is a center of energy known as the crown chakra whose function it is to feed the Pineal Gland with energy. It is said that this gland is the point of the soul’s contact with man though it is known that it seldom functions, often atrophies and is sometimes removed by surgery.
- Below this is the “brow” chakra which is centered between the eyebrows and has been named by fiction writers as the third eye. This feeds the Pituitary Gland with energy which, in turn, feeds the whole endocrine system, the sinuses etc
- The center at the back of the neck (throat chakra) supplies the neck, throat, shoulders, etc. with energy and upwards into the head glands (medulla oblongata).
