Part 3
Good-bye Pool
We have had fun in our pool for the last 25 years, but when everyone left home I was the only one looking after it. I didn’t want a pool in the first place, so when the chlorinator broke I bought a pair of 50,000 Gauss power cast alloy magnets instead. I expected miracles and got quite a few – I even kept fish in the pool at one stage.
I had bought two 8-pole water magnets as well, that were capable of wiping the memory and raising the consciousness of 5l water in 5 minutes, which we were using to stand the tap water on before putting it in the kettle. It occurred to me that water magnets belonged in water so I sealed one with insulation tape and placed it on the step of the pool. I pottered off and when I went back to the pool a few minutes later, I could not believe my eyes – the step of the pool was covered in bright stars! It was the refraction of the sunlight through the bubbles on the surface. I had never seen anything like it before – the stars were so bright they almost hurt my eyes. It was graphic proof that the magnets were doing SOMETHING to the water.

It was only later that I came across Masaru Emoto and his amazing ice crystals.
Then the South-Easter came. It pinched the water from my pool and blew sand into it faster than the kreepy could suck it out. When I received a water account for over R800, I decided to call it quits. I have removed the life-support system, am using the water for the plants and am now just waiting for the South-Easter to help take the water away.
What of the future? A sunken garden with murals of the “Lost City of Atlantis” on the walls. Someone suggested I put a lapa over the pool, carpet it and put my massage bed out there. A sunken tea garden (lapa & all) has also been suggested but I think it will most likely be a sunken veggie garden with maybe a small plastic pool for the hot days.
So we will still be able to have fun in our pool!
